Why should we care for our parents ?

We should care for our parents because they care for us when we were young . We should also care for our parents because they gave us so many things . They have sacrificed so many things to raise us up.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my parents because they have given me so many things and showed me so much love. I want to thank them for devoting so much of their time to care for me and to teach me as I grow up. I thank my parents for everything I have.

Appreciation and reflection

I want to thank my English teacher, Puan Nalini for teaching me . I want to express my utmost gratitude towards her for her guidance throughout the preparation of this folio . I also would like to thank my parents and brothers for supporting me .

Throughout the preparation of this folio, I have learned never to abandon my parents. I also learn to appreciate the people around me and the things they do for me . I should always be grateful for the things I have .

The people that care for me

The people that care for me are my parents . They show me a lot of love . They willingly sacrifice many things to take care of me when I was a baby . They also show their love towards me by teaching me many new things . I love my parents . I would not forget their kindness towards me . I promise I will treat my parents better .

A letter to a character

Dear Boy ,
It is very good of you to make friend with the tree and spend your childhood with him . Hovewer , you shouldn't be too cruel to the tree . You should care for the tree for he has given you many things . You shouldn't ask too much and you should be grateful that the tree is willing to let you chop down his branches and trunks to help you .

What I learn from the story

I have learned to appreciate my parents more . I also learned to never leave my parents alone . This story has taught me a lot of things . The most important thing I learned from this story is to always visit our parents .

The part I like the most

The part I like the most is when the boy played with the tree . It reminds me of when we are small , we always play with our parents . That is the time of our life when we got nothing to worry about.

Summary of the story

A little boy loves playing with the tree when he is small . Hovewer, when he grew older , he seldom play with the tree . When he was a young man he never play with the tree again . One day , he went to the tree and ask for wood so that he can build a house for his family . Throughout the years , he also asks for many things from the tree like branches , trunks and many more . When the boy was very old , he went back to the tree to rest . The young boy who is now an old man lean against the tree . The tree was glad and smiled with tears .

This story reminds me that when we are young, we stick and play with our parents . But when we grow up, we want our freedom and we leave our parents and never bother to go back home or visit them. We only come back when we need something. I have learned to treat my parents well and will visit them frequently .

About Myself

My name is Loh Yi Yin . I am 12 years old. I am studying in Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Utara . My favourite subject is Mathematics . I like Mathematics because I love counting . It eases my mind . I come from a family of five which consists of my two older brothers, my parents and me . My hobbies are playing computer games and reading books . My ambition is to become a pilot. My goal for 2009 is scoring 5As in my UPSR . I can't wait to see my parents' expression when I get 5As.
